AQUA GroupCall Text and Email Messaging Tool Following on from interest shown in a Text Messaging/Email facility for AQUASQL, we are pleased to confirm that AQUA has partnered with a leading communications provider for the Education Sector - GroupCall. As an emergency contact solution provider, GroupCall is aligned with the five major telecom providers. This means that not only is the service guaranteed, but also that the text messages sent are set to such a high priority level (just under national security) that they are generally received almost instantly.
AQUA CPD Using the AQUA CPD Module you can manage the Continuing Professional Development of your staff effectively and efficiently. The CPD module allows tutors/staff to login to a web enabled module allowing them to search for CPD courses or Enrol on courses or even monitor the enrolment process (i.e. Line Manager/CPD team to approve enrolment application). Courses can be assigned as CPD course within AQUA. Venues can also be set up to indicate if they deliver CPD type learning. It also allows the CPD Tutor to monitor who has enrolled on the course.

AQUA LEARNER MODULE AQUA is a Learner Management Information System created for recording learner enrolment details in a fast, accurate, fully validated format.  This data capture facility enables a smooth transition from data input to producing an Individualised Learner Record (ILR) in compliance with the Skills Funding Agency's (SFA) stringent requirements. AQUA is written and used by Birmingham City Council, the largest Local Education Authority in the UK. For more than 10 years the AQUA Software Team have been working in partnership with other Local Authorities and External Institutions (65 +), supporting hundreds of users and responsible for attracting over £70 million in funding from the Government for FE provision alone.
AQUA MLE AQUA MLE (Moodle) is the most popular VLE in AE and FE with an On-going development commitment. There are 20+ Existing AQUA Authorities have chosen Moodle with the ability to Create Community of Users Open Source also enables continued development with AQUA. AQUA is linked to e-learning platform (VLE) and to an independant e-Repository (Hive) creating a fully managed Learning Environment. This VLE management and curriculum-planning tool ensures minimum maintenance, allowing tutors to concentrate on content creation and communicating with their learners.
COURSE FINDER Course Finder is a web based application which enables members of the public to quickly access up to date information about Adult Education courses from a web browser, and if required allows interested learners to enrol on-line.  All data used by the web site is managed by the AQUA Software Learner Management Information System so this development efficiently and effectively removes the need for duplicate administrative processes to produce an on-line course directory.
DITV - Digital Interactive Television Imagine the scenario when Mrs. Smith, 76 years old, who does not have PC - and doesn't want one - can use her TV remote to find out when her next community centre session is, book online for the lunch they are offering and order transport to the centre. After which she can confirm that her doctors appointment is still valid, her repeat prescription is ordered and her bins will be collected later. All of this is possible today and new services are in the pipeline.

The Personnel module has been developed to ensure providers are able to meet the data requirements for managing staff requirements. It is designed to integrate fully with the AQUA Learner Management Information System which gives the benefit of minimising data entry.

WEB ATTENDANCE The AQUA Web Attendance module is a fully integrated module allowing staff to input student attendance against a course easily and quickly from anywhere, using a PC, laptop or mobile device that has an internet connection. The attendance data is updated directly to the AQUA database meaning there are no requirements for the manual collection of data or to provide interfaces from other standalone systems or spreadsheets. Web Attendance also provides access to up to date attendance information by course, learner and time periods.
YOUTHZONE IMS Youthzone IMS is a web based information management system that enhances standards in the management of information, activities, and services for the youth service. It provides a reliable and well supported solution that gives you the tools and power to use your data to greater effect.   By working in close Partnership with Birmingham Youth Service, its users and other local authorities, over a 12 month period we have developed and tested a resilient and easy to use IMS solution that combines functionality with flexibility to meet your unique service delivery needs.
